Microsoft Corp. announced the launch of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the company's latest customer relationship management software.

The latest version includes new configuration, customization and integration capabilities and is being offered in Professional and Small Business Editions.

"Businesses demand a CRM solution that is easy to use, adaptable and affordable," said Jeff Raikes, president of the Microsoft business software division, in a statement. "With its native Microsoft Office and Outlook experience and a flexible platform that gives customers a true choice of deployment options ... enabling them to better understand their customers, be more productive and have a positive impact on their business' bottom line."

Microsoft said that CRM 3.0 is designed to address the three key challenges that determine the success or failure of most CRM initiatives: user adoption, business fit and total cost of ownership.

The product is available through Microsoft volume licensing programs with the final price dependent on the license program being used. The full-suite Professional Edition is priced between $622 and $880 per user and $1,244 and $1,761 per server. Full-suite Small Business Edition is priced between $440 and $499 per user and between $528 and $599 per server.
